Aurora’s 1961 Frankenstein Monster is where a lot of monster collecting started — the classic model kit, built and painted, standing on its original base. This example is the vintage build itself, not a modern reissue, so it carries all the hand-painted character collectors look for in a 60-year-old kit.
Offered without its box, this is a display piece first and foremost: the Monster, in his classic pose, ready to anchor a Universal Monsters shelf or a vintage model-kit collection. Built Aurora monsters in this condition, with the original base intact, do not turn up every day.
